NYC with the Petersons
Joe Morton, founder/board member
The most recent of my great XanGo opportunities took me out to New York City for an event hosted by 200Ks Chris & Renae Peterson. Distributors from Utah, New Jersey, Minneapolis and all throughout New York (both state and city) came out for this one. And their trips were rewarded much like mine: with a memorable, business-relevant and energetic experience.
While out there, Chris interviewed me, and we held a Q&A session. Both were very fun and interesting occasions. And the following morning, as icing on the cake, he invited me out to cycle with him in Central Park. What a rush, cycling in the Big Apple! It was definitely a ride never to be forgotten.
Europe ’09: Top Leaders Dinner
Kent Wood, founder/board member
As Aaron alluded to earlier in his blog entry, I was with him out in Europe, and I had a few thoughts to share about the unforgettable occasion—especially the Top Leader’s Dinner:
To refer to this as a “Dinner” would be an extreme understatement. This was a Leadership Feast. When the locals make the claim that Belgium is “known for its kitchen,” they have a believer in me. We arrived at Tasso Restaurant amid the packed streets celebrating a neighboring music festival, adding an element of excitement to this gathering of Europe’s best and brightest stars. What an incredible venue for our gathering! This facility was a refurbished train depot, with the glass floor providing a vista into a much different era of transportation and commerce. Meanwhile, our 20Ks and above representing 12 different European countries celebrated today’s era of commerce driven by their networks.
Waiting for us in the lobby were glasses of chilled XanGo Juice and tasty hors d’oeuvres. Leaders and executives greeted each other with the customary Santé or Cheers to celebrate the accomplishments of these markets. Some of the tables were hosted by our four 500Ks in attendance, Sherman Unkefer, Anton Garrity, Estela Salinas and Sharron Sharif. Our own Aaron and Tiffany Garrity hosted our Norwegian leaders 100Ks Erland Vatne and Petri & Berit Eskonsipo, Premier Eric Gusevik, and Ritta Vallo from Finland. I hosted our some of our Belgian leaders in 100Ks Luke and Kathy Meiresonne, Premier Dominique Degrieck and his wife Lutgart Dupon, and 20K Danny Wanzeele and Fien Van Rentergem. In addition, 100K John Stetler from Arizona joined our table as one of the true pioneers of our European markets.
Now open: France, Spain, Portugal
Leslie Gallacher, Sr. Director of International Development
Flags waved and Europeans cheered at XanGo’s 2009 Europe Regional when the official openings of France, Spain and Portugal were announced. And, as far as announcements went, it leaned on the incredibly happy side of things.
With a packed auditorium of European leaders, the message that these countries are now open (and have fully functioning and localized websites, MXO and sales tools) was well received indeed. And, after Beverly’s fabulous presentation at the General Session, Distributors were especially excited when they found out Glimpse would be available in these new markets as well.
This leaves only one country left for us to open in Europe. And, speaking of that one country, the 100+ Italians attending the event began singing loudly when Brian Gallacher announced “E. Presto Italia … or, for those of us who don’t speak Italian … and, coming soon … Italy!” It was a great moment!
Europe Regional, Recapped
Brian Gallacher, Europe & UK Country Manager
Leaders from more than 15 countries set their sights on Brussels, Belgium, this weekend as XanGo launched Glimpse in Europe. Distributors flocked to participate in Friday’s intensive Glimpse training and were back on Saturday for the General Session to learn about the science and natural ingredients in this elegant product line.
In typical Kent Wood fashion, the Europeans were treated to valuable information on XanGo’s ever-increasing brand presence in the industry, as well as phenomenal statistics showing the explosion of XanGo’s growth in Europe.
Aaron Garrity spoke about the importance of leaders uniting together for the greater good. To everyone’s surprise and delight, he even he inspired the audience with a beautiful song from Evita.
